My Chiropractic WHY
I knew from a young age that I wanted to make a difference in the health of people’s lives. I knew I wanted to become a Doctor. However, when I went off to college I needed to decide what kind of Doctor I wanted to be!
Initially I had thoughts of going to medical school to either become a Neurosurgeon, Cardiologist, or an ER doctor. But as exciting as it sounded to do surgery, it never quite felt right. I got hooked on this idea of prevention and I couldn’t shake it. And the standard medical model of cut it out or give them a pill didn’t sit right with me. There are countless surgeries that prolong life and add quality of life to people’s years. However, I knew there was something better.
Chiropractic, I came to find out, subscribed to what we call a salutogenic model, meaning, focusing on factors that create health rather than those that destroy it, i.e. disease. It was then that I decided to dedicate my life to learning how to make myself and others more healthy rather than waiting until it’s already too late.
This mentality lead me to explore many different healing modalities within chiropractic school and my career. Cold plunges and breathwork for nervous system regulation, regular sun exposure for overall health and optimized circadian rhythm, blocking blue light at night for deeper and more restorative sleep, meditation to reprogram the mind and body, and functional movement to increase physical strength and resilience.
As a whole it all goes back to how we were designed to live as primitive human beings in nature. When we stray too far from these basic principles we start to break down, become dysfunctional, and then pain sets in.
The body is strong and resilient, but we have to feed it the right things in order for us to see this true health and vitality. Or else we will fall into the traditional medical model of pain, sickness and disease.
I'm excited to see and serve you as we seek for more vibrant and optimal health, together.
Meet Aubrey Gándola Office Manager

Hi, I’m Aubrey and I’m the Office Manager here at Space Chiropractic! I’m originally from California and have always been drawn to an active lifestyle, whether it was playing sports, hiking with friends, or just being outside and moving my body, health has always been a big part of my life.

I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology and a minor in Nutrition, and I’ve always loved learning about how we can support our bodies and minds to feel our best. That passion really grew during my time as a wellness coach, where I discovered how much I enjoy helping people set meaningful goals, build confidence, and make real, lasting changes in their lives. I'm now looking forward to continuing my education in exercise oncology!

What I love most about working at Space Chiropractic is the positive, growth-minded environment. It’s a place where people come to feel better, learn more about their health, and take steps toward a lifestyle that really supports them. I’m here to help make your experience as smooth and welcoming as possible.

If we haven’t met yet, I can’t wait to welcome you to the office—and if we have, I’m so glad you’re part of our community!
